      Luckily not.
(though I got hit by a lorry when I was cycling a few years ago and wouldn’t like to do that again)

I nearly managed to get myself crushed between two large boats once. I learnt that knowing your own limits is extremely important, and that calmly assessing a situation is usually better than jumping straight in.

No, fortunately. I’ve had a few incidents of doing foolish things (like putting a copper pipe through a live electricity cable… I realised the value of circuit breakers and fuses on that day!), but I wasn’t really in any danger and I’ve never done anything worse than that.

No, touch wood. There are things in my life I don’t need to experience.

As I was driving past Heathrow there was this sudden loud continuous noise. I thought I had hit or been hit by something but he car was not rocking. The noise continued and there was concord 50 feet above me. That was disorientating.
