I was never any good at school until I walked into my first science lesson. Here was something I could do, but that was just me. We cant all be good at everything. I did french for 8 years and cant speak a word of it.
Yes, I’ve always liked asking questions and trying to understand what’s going on. Well, in the chemistry and physics bits at least. I never got on with biology. I was always a little too good at killing things rather than studying them in life :-s I also didn’t like maths up to GCSE – it was always difficult and I never got on with it.
After GCSE, because you’re doing what you want to do more, I actually enjoyed maths – it seemed like a useful tool and there were some really clever things it could do.
I still don’t like biology :-p
I only enjoyed some bits of science at school. Mostly, I didn’t enjoy it. It was only when I arrived at University that I began to really love studying biology.
