      Yes, I hope so!
      Scientists are working on new materials all the time which will help to trap carbon dioxide so that we can try to protect the atmosphere. Some of the things I work on are being tried out for use by industry to catch CO2 as it leaves their factory chimneys.
      Other scientists are helping by investigating new energy sources – like fuel cells or other renewable fuels like wind power. If we use these we won’t need to burn fossil fuels so won’t make CO2.
      That’s how science is helping. But technology can only help so much – people need to make sure they recycle as much as possible and save electricity where they can.
