      The egg. The DNA for chicken was contained within the egg. DNA of the offspring is mixture of its parents DNA plus some mistakes. These mistakes gave the chicken.
      No idea what the mother of the first chicken said when the egg hatched. May be ‘Your no chick of mine’.

      The egg, fish had been laying them for ~350 million years before birds evolved.

      Creme eggs are a relatively recent invention. However as paddy says, fish eggs have been around for a longer time still…
