I spent most of the day on a computer, so in my spare time I do different things. I play a lot of folk music (my husband plays irish fiddle and I play concertina – we play in pubs a lot!) If I have any other spare time I do some craft work – mostly weaving.
I am a real “book worm”, always been. So you’ll find me most of the time with a book. Books a nice and I don’t have to talk to them like my volunteers at work. But I recently joined a choir as well and I really enjoy singing with the others. We actually had a concert last Sunday.
I try to do too many things for the time available! I go cycling around St Andrews when the weather is good – it’s great to be in the fresh air on the coast. I’m also a great reader. I wasn’t a few years ago but I read a few classics and re-discovered reading. I also really enjoy photography when I get chance – you can see some of my photographs on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mike-wharmby
I also go to the gym a couple of times a week and used to go rock climbing (I haven’t been recently though). So yeah, many things!
