      I’m a bit partial to gold, but my Grandpa was a jeweller, so that may be why

      Thats difficult. It has to be the compound that gives ginger its hot taste, gingerol. I studied it for 3 years at university

      Creme Eggs! Though they’re a bit seasonal.

      In the lab, I recently made something which should only be described as purest-purple. So that’s another favourite at the minute (though a bit less edible).

      For a biologist, nothing beats chlorophyll! Photosynthesising organisms on land and in the sea affect and control the world’s climate and major ecosystems. Since most of the world’s surface is covered in water rather than land, the majority of photsynthesis is done in the sea.
