• Question: why are you so clever?

      “Clever” is a broad and relative concept. In many ways, I’m not. Kenneth Grahame wrote: “The clever men at Oxford know all that there is to be knowed. But they none of them knew one half as much as intelligent Mr. Toad.”

      I agree with Paddy on this one. “clever” is a relative term. I wouldn’t say that I am clever when I compare myself with my supervisor or other bright people at work. Doing science doesn’t mean that I am able to do everything (definitely not computers by the way).
