      On a practical level, it’s because they have a particular combination of pigments in the iris of the eye. On a more fundamental level, it’s a complicated bit of inheritance in mostly northern european populations. Have a look at this lin for more info: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A734933
